The purpose of the Lake Management Plan Committee is to provide an opportunity for all of the various governing bodies that border Pewaukee Lake to meet and discuss coordinated lake management with specific topics to include further discussion on a grant to update the lake management plan, education of riparian owners, and opportunities that may be available for coordinated lake management activities.
The governing bodies are as follows: the Town of Delafield, Village of Pewaukee, City of Pewaukee, and Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District (LPSD). Each governing district appoints one elected official as well as one staff member to serve on the Committee. Staff members are ex-officio members of the Committee. At such time as may be desirous of the Committee, other entities interested inthe management of Pewaukee Lake may be invited to join the Committee with the approval of all four members of the original Committee.
Responsibilities
The goal of the Lake Management Plan Committee is to provide a formal venue for lake management planning discussions regarding Pewaukee Lake and to determine if there are opportunities for coordinated management activities, as well as whether or not there are desires for additional types of management activities that could be incorporated into the management plan if it is determined that the current activities are not sufficient to achieve the goals for the governmental entities.
