1. How can I get a new recycle bin?

4. I have a large amount of garbage or items such as refrigerators, couches. How do I get these picked up?

The City contracts with John's Disposal for your garbage service. John's Disposal may charge you for the special pickup. For additional information please see the Garbage and Recycle Information sheet in Public Works.

5. How can I dispose of my leaves?

The City Recycling Center accepts leaf and grass clippings during its operation hours (Saturdays 9am to 3pm and Wednesday (4/1 to Thanksgiving week only) from 1pm to 6pm). They may not be in plastic bags when disposed of. Please do not place these items in your swales near your property as this causes drainage issues for upstream and downstream neighbors.

6. What hours is the recycling center at City Hall open?

The Recycling Center is open to City of Pewaukee residents on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm (all year) and Wednesdays from 1 pm to 6 pm (April 1 - Thanksgiving Week).

7. What materials may be recycled at City Hall and in what format?

The Recycling Center only accepts certain items as outlined on the Recycle Center page. You may also utilize the Waukesha County Recycling Center.

8. What day is my trash and recycling collected?

Trash and recycling pickup is done on a weekly basis throughout the City. Please contact the Clerk / Treasurer's Office at (262) 691-0770 for schedule or view it online. When a scheduled collection day falls on a major holiday that day's collection and all remaining collections for the week will be delayed one day. Friday's collection will be on Saturday.
