The DPW Recycling Center

The Recycling Center is located at W225N3201 Duplainville Road on the northwest corner of Duplainville Road and Green Road. City residents can drop-off recycling materials using the Duplainville Road entrance. 

 

Hours of Operation:   

  • Wednesdays from 1:00 to 6:00 pm (Apr-Nov)
  • Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (Year-Round)

           (Closed on holidays that fall on a Wednesday or Saturday)

 

Residents must obtain and display a city recycle tag in their vehicle when visiting the Recycling Center. City recycle tags can be picked up at no charge at the Clerk’s office at City Hall, W240N3065 Pewaukee Road, during regular office hours. Proof of residency is required.

The Recycling Center does NOT accept garbage. All garbage should be placed in your trash container for weekly pick-up.

The Recycling Center Does NOT Accept Used Motor Oil, Oil Filters, or Antifreeze

Wisconsin law, (s. 287.07(1m), Wis. Stat.) requires retailers of automotive oil to either accept household “do-it-yourself” used oil or post a sign at the location of sale indicating the location and hours of operation of the nearest used oil collection center.

 

Below are a few waste oil drop-off options in or near the City of Pewaukee. Please contact the retailer ahead of time for further information and confirmation, as retailers can change their policies at any time. Not all locations that accept oil will accept oil filters or antifreeze.
