[ARCHIVED] Drug Take Back

DrugTakeBack04242021Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse. Pharmaceutical drugs can be just as dangerous as street drugs when taken without a prescription or a doctor’s supervision. Unused prescription drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold. Unused drugs that are flushed contaminate the water supply. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Drug Take Back Event at Pewaukee City Hall on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 10am-2pm!  Anyone can participate regardless of residency, so please mark your calendars and spread the word.

For more information and a list of other participating sites, please visit DEA Take Back Video, Dose of Reality or DEA Take Back Day Locations.
